About the Author
Andrew Rebori was chef/owner of two, white tablecloth Italian restaurants for twenty years in Houston, Texas. His second, Tutto Bene! Italian Family Restaurant!, was awarded two stars and listed weekly in The Houston Chronicle and The Houston Press. In addition, he wrote, gave seminars and consulted extensively about the history and current developments in international wine making and marketing throughout the Texas Gulf Coast area.
Raised and educated in Rome, Italy, he has cooked everything from banquets to haute cuisine. He was a member of local, regional and national restaurant organizations, a local award winner, a passionate food researcher and a tireless culinary historian.
He completed forty-eight weeks of recombinant interferon therapy, overcoming: alopechia areata, dermatitis, persistent anemia and neutropenia, allergic rashes, insomnia, clinical depression, cardiac arterial failure with triple angioplasty and total loss and subsequent recovery of both taste and smell.
He attributes his wellness to the miracles of medical science and the healing power of cooking.
